Joakim Åhlund och Jockum Nordström har känt varann sedan den dagen år 1998, då Joakim ringde upp Jockum och bad honom att göra omslaget till gruppen Caesar's Palace's första album 'Youth is wasted on the young'. Sedan gjorde Jockum gruppen's alla 5 omslag från debuten fram till den sista skivan 'Strawberry weed' som kom år 2008. Joakim & Jockum började även umgås privat, de två herrarna har setts på eftermiddagarna under perioden 2007-2012 och druckit kaffe, öl och brännvin, tittat i gamla böcker och spelat musik tillsammans i Joakim's studio Apmamman bakom norra bantorget i stockholm och detta har resulterat i ett antal inspelningar som nu sammanställts till albumet 'Paddan & Hunden' och släpps på göteborgsetiketten Kning Disk.
